| Every year fire managers
set prescribed fire to millions of acres
of land across the country in an effort
to restore natural landscapes, reduce
large accumulations of hazardous fuels,
reduce the risk to life and property
from wildfire and prepare fields for
farming. Knowing the properties
and characteristics of fire and its fuel
is essential when burning a field or
understory. Did you know that by
lighting a fire line on one side of a
field can affect the direction of a fire
line adjacent to it? Long Forestry has the
personnel with the experience to burn
safely and the required equipment,
including drip torches, clothing and
PPE, water tanks, pumps, and ATVs.
We also carry the required
insurance policy to burn for state
and federal government agencies. |
